Thinning the Light is a short visual study filmed in Thailand, composed entirely of shadows and shifting light. By removing the visible subject, the film focuses on form, movement, and the subtle ways light defines space. Developed alongside a conversation with a Buddhist monk, the work reflects on ideas of sufficiency, desire, and the gradual process of letting go. The images do not illustrate these themes directly, but echo them while observing what remains when attention shifts away from the object itself.
